Maridel and Karlo have the sweetest love story, we absolutely love hearing how our couples meet and fall in love; and their story just goes to show that mom(s) always know best. The couple shares:

We both originally from the Phillippines and both moved to Canada in 2000. We met through a blind date in December of 2010, our moms worked together in the healthcare field. When the groom’s mom met Maridel, she urged her to go out with her son. Maridel was hesitant but Karlo’s mom kept urging her, so Maridel eventually wrote her phone number on a piece of paper and the rest is history!

Ten years later and this gorgeous couple traveled to Maui (neither of them had ever been to Hawaii) to say I Do at the breathtaking Kukahiko Estate. They always dreamed of a sunset wedding with an ocean view so when they saw that the Kukahiko Estate offered privacy, an amazing setting and was right on the beach, they knew that they had found their special place.

It was an intimate celebration with only 20 guests in attendance, and of those 20, not one had ever been to Hawaii before. Can you imagine how amazed they were when they stepped foot on this magical property!? Needless to say, everyone was absolutely stunned by the beauty of their surroundings and touched by the love of this sweet couple. We were so honored to be a part of such a special day and to have been chosen by the couple as their Maui Wedding Planner.
